ROY KEANE have issued a scathing verdict on Tottenham – saying ‘no top quality player’ wants to join them.
Spurs beat Chelsea 2-0 on Sunday afternoon, leaving Antonio Conte in a losing streak for weeks against his former bosses.
The need for reinforcements is clear, with Spurs strong linked with a brace for Adama Traore and Diego Carlos.
But Keane remains unconvinced by Tottenham’s ability to attract ‘top’ players to the club.
While on duty as a doctor for Sports sky, Keane said: “The difficulty is which top players are going to Spurs?
“Especially in January, or in the summer if they don’t qualify for the Champions League.
“The manager could be an attraction, but he’ll be in for the final year of his contract, that is if he’s still there.
“So there is a big dilemma, but again, which players, even if he gets a little money to spend in January, there are no top quality players available in January want to go to Tottenham.”

However, not a single signing has been made so far under Conte, with just over a week remaining in the winter break.
And when asked about the possibility of reinforcements this month, Conte admitted ‘the club know very well’ his thoughts on the need for quality additions.
“This is not the right time to speak in front of the media.
“The club knows very well what I think and when we need to close this gap [to Chelsea], because it doesn’t take a transfer window to close the gap.
“The club knows very well what I think.”
“I think in the last few years this gap has become very, very large and it is not easy to find a solution. For this reason, I only focus on the players who work to the end.
“We will see, we have four months to give everything, but if we think we can solve the situation in the transfer market, it is not realistic.
“You need years, for sure we can start and we have to start, because in the last few years the level of the team has dropped instead of improved.”
