The White Lotus star Meghann Fahy was so excited to meet Taylor Swift that she almost lost her lunch in anticipation.
“I couldn’t have been more impressed,” said Fahy, 33, said in an interview with W Magazine published Tuesday. “I almost threw up before I met her.”
The actress said before she could even meet the “Enchanted” singer, “she saw her across the room” and immediately “cried involuntarily.”
“I was so embarrassed. I thought I couldn’t greet her with tears in my eyes. I have to pretend I’m halfway normal, but I don’t think I fooled her. She put her arm around me and said, “You’re fine,” Fahy recalled.
The former daytime soap opera star said the “crazy” icing came when Swift revealed she’s seen “The White Lotus.”
She added, “That was a real highlight for me.”
Fahy didn’t reveal exactly when she met Swift, but the singer kicked off her Eras tour in March.
Fahy starred in Season 2 of Max’s hit series, The White Lotus, as Daphne, a seemingly innocent character who takes a luxury vacation with her husband Cameron (Theo James) and another couple – Harper (Aubrey Plaza) and Ethan Sicily undertakes (Will Sharpe).
The journey takes a dangerous turn after sex and violence ensue, causing trouble between the couples.
Back in June, Fahy shared more details about the tear-jerking moment she met Swift when she was in the “Happy, sad, confused” podcast.
“I almost threw up seeing her and I’ve been in love with her since I was 16 or whatever,” Fahy said. “She looked at me and said, ‘Oh my god, I’m such a fan,’ and I just died. It was very surreal.”
She told podcast host Josh Horowitz that there were “very few people” she would like to meet.
“I’m usually pretty cool, but I wasn’t so cool tonight,” Fahy joked.
