Whitehawk in Brighton affected by power outage affecting area BN2 5

A power outage has left a large number of people without power.

Residents near Whitehawk are experiencing a power outage, with the problems reportedly being caused by a faulty wire.

The outage is expected to affect around 800 people in the BN2 5 postcode area.

According to the UK Power Network, the reason for the blackout was that “an underground power cable on our high-voltage network has failed, causing a widespread blackout”.

Currently the power is expected to be out until Wednesday 21st September between 6pm and 7pm.
