Who is leaving Coronation Street this year? All exit plans for ITV soap in 2022

Coronation Street will see some major storylines in 2022 – and as part of that, some of the Cobbles stars will head for the exits – but how will that happen and their exits How will it affect other residents?

Coronation Street has promised some big and dramatic storylines this year.
But with big storylines come major exits, and the ITV series will bid farewell to some of the show’s beloved characters in the coming months as some plot ends – and new ones begin.
There will be many twists and turns before some of these giant vents escape into the air as we consider who will leave the Cobbles this year, who can say goodbye to the streets. and who left.

Emma Brooker will soon bid farewell to Cobbles in a giant storyline. She struggled with the truth after her character – played by Alexandra Mardell – helped cover up Ted’s death.

As the date of her departure looms, Emma gets closer and closer to Ted’s grandson, but this could be part of a way out for her – or will she get in trouble with the police over the accident. car accident earlier this year?
“Playing Emma, on the most iconic street there, was the best experience of my life,” Alexandra said as she spoke of her exit.
“But I feel like it’s the right time for me. I can’t thank everyone at Coronation Street for welcoming me and trusting me to tell so many wonderful and heartfelt stories. And about friendship.”
Elsewhere, ITV bosses have also confirmed Rebecca Ryan – who plays Lydia Chambers on ITV soap – will be off the soap soon, but not before Lydia causes havoc in Adam Barlow’s life.

Rebecca is only intended to appear on the soap for a short time to complete Lydia and Adam’s plot, but she will appear in broadcast scenes fairly soon as Lydia’s follow-up to Adam continues to worsen.
It’s not yet known how she’ll get out of the show but can promise it’ll have a gripping and exciting storyline!
Imran Habeeb (Charlie de Melo) is also leaving Coronation Street this year, but not before a massive storyline involving his characters Toyah and Abi as Imran’s love affair comes to light.
There’s an even bigger twist, though, as soap spoilers have revealed that Imran will find out he’s the father of Abi’s child. Don’t know if this is part of his exit but bosses have promised Imran will come out with a big storyline.
Charlie is expected to film his final scenes in the coming months, with his final scenes set to air over the summer.
Kel Allen will also part ways with her character, Laura Neelan, as soon as her character’s health deteriorates.
Laura was diagnosed with stomach cancer and had only a few months to live, but she was desperate to work out her relationship with daughter Kelly before she passed away. She has also made it her mission to find out what really happened to her estranged husband Rick Neelan.
Rick was killed by Gary Windass a few years ago – but will Laura cause more trouble for Gary before she dies?

Adam Barlow – played by Sam Robertson – was reportedly leaving Coronation Street after the actor admitted he repeatedly did the same scenes. However, he has signed a new contract for the soap now.
“Sometimes you pick a script and I feel like I’m doing the scene like I did 12 months ago. At first I was a bit confused because we were working on a storyline where Adam was fighting with Carla. I don’t. “Isn’t it too soon to do more of that?” he admitted.

“Tina and I went from working together and getting along really well to suddenly being in a relationship. So it’s hard to do it again so soon.”
However, sources later said the bosses were “delighted” that Sam had signed a new contract with the soap.

Sally Dynevor may have left the ITV soap – but that’s only temporary while she’s busy rehearsing for Dancing On Ice.
while Sally – player Sally Metcalfe – is now off of the ITV skating show, she has not returned to the show yet. Sally is part of a big story with her husband Tim, who has hidden his health battle from her.

She’s also busy arguing with Tim’s mother Elaine about taking care of him as he recuperates at home.
“I’ve been hiding my character. So to come out after all these years, it’s been quite difficult. But I hope I’ll be fine and that it’ll work out and that I’ll really enjoy it. experience and then go back to being Sally Metcalfe for a few more weeks,” Sally admitted, as she discussed hiding behind her soap character before she signed up for the skating program.
Joseph Brown (William Flanagan) left the ITV drama in sad scenes earlier in the year. He has struggled with not having as much money as his friends at school, while his father Chesney and stepmother Gemma are struggling to feed them all.
