Who is Ravneet Gill and is she married?

Pastry chef Ravneet Gill has been a favorite part of the show since she joined former contestant Liam Charles on the jury in 2020.

Who is Ravneet Gill?

Ravneet Gill is a pastry chef who trained at the world-renowned culinary school Le Cordon Bleu after completing a degree in psychology at the University of Southampton.

Since starting her career in 2016, Ravneet has worked at several prestigious restaurants and has released two books on baking.

She is also a regular food journalist for The Guardian.

In addition to her work as a Pastry Chef, Ravneet is the founder and director of Countertalk, a community organization that promotes and fosters positive workplaces in the food service industry.

Through her work with Countertalk, the star is said to regularly host industry events and presentations – giving her the opportunity to experience the prominence ahead of her television career.

When will Ravneet Gill replace Prue Leith on Junior Bake Off?

When Junior Bake Off first premiered in 2011, it was initially judged by the judges at the time to be the adult version of the show, Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood.

However, in 2013 Berry left the series and was replaced by Allegra McEvedy, who would go on to appear in two series of the show.

In 2019, McEvedy was replaced by Prue Leith after the spin-off was acquired by Channel 4.

However, Prue Leith will only appear as a judge for a single series before that replaced by Ravneet Gill.

At the time, it was reported that Leith was nervous about filming for the show amid the coronavirus pandemic.

However, it doesn’t appear that Leith has any plans to return to Junior Bake Off, and Ravneet is now set to appear in the show’s seventh series alongside fellow judges (and former contestants). Liam Charles.

In addition to Liam and Ravneet, the show also has the participation of comedian Harry Hill, who has acted as the host of Junior Bake Off since 2019.

Is Ravneet Gill married?

Ravneet Gill has never made her relationship status public – and seems reluctant to do so.

In an interview with Whistle, she shared some of the difficulties she faced as a single woman in the industry.

She said: “As a female chef, you’re often in the minority – I was soon asked to wear my wedding ring to avoid harassment. Climbing the hierarchy involved a lot of push back. in some kitchens.”
