Who is xQc?

xQc or xQcOW, born November 12, 1995, is a Canadian Twitch streamer, internet personality and former professional Overwatch player.

xQc started his eSports career in 2016 and also streamed regularly.

Most notably, he played for the Dallas Fuel in the Overwatch League’s inaugural season — but was later fired due to repeated controversy and mid-season suspensions.

He also played for Team Canada at the Overwatch World Cup from 2017-2019.

After leaving Overwatch, he started streaming on Twitch at the age of 19 – playing League of Legends and streaming under the alias xQcLoL.

He also began creating content for organizations such as Sentinels and Luminosity Gaming.

By May 2019, xQc was one of the most successful variety show streamers on Twitch.

He was named the most watched streamer on Twitch in both 2020 and 2021.

Despite its success on the platform, xQc has been temporarily banned a few times – but it still manages to keep its viewership numbers in tact.

In early April 2022, xQc participated in the social experiment r/Place – an online canvas where registered Reddit users could make changes by changing the color of a single pixel.

xQc broke his Twitch viewership record during the event, peaking at over 293,000 viewers – later that month he broke that record when streaming a beta build of Overwatch 2, peaking at over 312,000 viewers.

What is the real name of xQc?

As with many content creators, a nickname is crucial when creating an online persona – and xQc is no different.

His real name is Félix Lengyel – pronounced in French as Feliks Lɑ̃ʒɛl.

What was the drama between xQc and Hasan?

Popular Twitch streamer xQc is no stranger to controversy and drama.

xQc and his ex-girlfriend Adept were surrounded by drama on September 16 when the former couple got into a heated argument during their livestream in front of about 125,000 Twitch viewers.

This led to various streamers across the community sharing their take on the drama — and that included Hasan.

The public split prompted xQc to announce that it would not be attending “Shitcamp” – an event where popular Twitch streamers join forces to compete in challenges and games hosted by streamer QTCinderella.

At first, xQc claimed he wasn’t going to the shitcamp because longtime streamer Sodapoppin wasn’t going – leading to Hasan calling him believing that wasn’t a sufficient reason.

Then xQc later clarified that his election came because he was grieving his breakup with Adept and dealing with family issues.

However, Hasan apologized for attacking xQc’s decision not to go to the shitcamp, as he felt the recent split was a more appropriate reason.

How long has xQc been with Adept?

xQc and Adept were roommates for years – but fans of the Twitch streamers suspected they were more than just friends

However, as the rumors swirled around the internet, they were never actually confirmed.

That was until March 2022 – when the couple accidentally made a mistake, confirming what many fans were thinking.

Adept was minding her own business playing poker at Diamond Casino & Resort on NoPixel’s GTA RP server when xQc came in behind her, cuddled her and gave her two kisses on the forehead while talking to her.

Unbeknownst to xQc, the camera was on and hundreds of thousands of viewers watched the clip – leading to Adept eventually revealing that the couple was in fact a couple.

Adept quickly took to Twitter to tease fans, writing, “What if I told you we were never just roommates?”

She also followed up with a tweet saying, “I felt bad seeing so many people trying to map out a timeline as we went from roommates to dating.”

Though the couple never confirmed how long they had been together, they confirmed their split just months after confirming their relationship.

On August 7, 2021, Adept announced that the couple had broken off their relationship.

xQc, one of the most popular faces on Twitch, said during a livestream that the two content creators had gotten into an argument that prompted Adept to leave the house they shared.

Away from the cameras, the couple then took to Twitter to publicly confirm their split.

xQc wrote: “I always tell you guys how I’m feeling and what’s happening, it’s important to get things off my chest so I can focus. Me and Sammy are separated. Please try not to speculate and search for answers. Most importantly, don’t bother @adeptthebest, she will always have my respect.”

While the streamer appeared heartbroken and claimed he needed to get things “off his chest” to focus, Adept didn’t reveal anything about the situation.

Taking to Twitter, she wrote: “I live with a clear consciousness that knows the full truth of who I am and what I’ve been experiencing 🙂 The outside noise can get really loud, but at the end of the day it’s really just Noise. ”

However, fans quickly misjudged her attempt to protect privacy, which quickly led to Adept taking to Twitter again.

Following her original tweet, she wrote: “I spoke to @xQc about this tweet and it seems people are trying to use this tweet as an implication that Felix physically abused me in some way. It’s not OK. I will make it clear that this did not happen and anyone accusing him of this will be blocked/reported. Be polite.”

The thread continued as she wrote: “My original tweet was an attempt to salvage every possible privacy in a personal situation because no matter how much has been going on in the stream/public, no one really has the full context to anyone except me and Felix.”

Despite such a public split, the couple reconciled but later went their separate ways again in 2022.
