Who won the ITV skating show? – Irish Sun

DANCING ON Ice is back for another year, with plenty of celebrities hoping to impress the judges.
But each series can only have one winner, and this lucky draw is the ones that have won the title since 2006.
Dancing On Ice winners so far…
2021- Sonny Jay
Capital Radio DJ Sonny Jay is the current reigning Dancing on the ice champion, with his professional partner Angela Egan.
He beat Faye Brookes and Colin Jackson in the final, who finished second and third respectively.
The final was witnessed the remaining three celebrities compete for the championship, with Sonny finally won the public vote. Sonny said: “That’s the spirit, thank you very much.”
2020 – Joe Swash
Dancing On Ice 2020 voted by fans Joe Swash is a 12 series winner, beat favorite Perri Kiely in the live final.
Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, actor and TV presenter Joe, wore the crown with his partner Alex Murphy despite difficulties in the early stages of the competition.
Some viewers were excited to see black horse Joe, who is engaged to Stacey Solomon, win after he started in the first week at the bottom of the rankings.
But some viewers were shocked that the Diversity star Perri disappeared after Boléro’s “excellent” performance and claimed that he had been “robbed”.
Joe looked stunned when he was crowned champion. He said: “Honestly, this was the best experience and sharing it with Alex…”
2019 – James Jordan
James Jordan and his skating partner Alexandra Schauman already crown the winners.
They beat Wes Nelson who came in second and Saara Aalto in third. Raise the trophy, James – who is being treated for a shoulder injury, said while trying to hold back tears: “I can’t believe it. Oh my God. I can’t take it anymore”.
He said the only reason he had to work so hard was to beat Wes.
The final three candidates must each fail two shows, a new one and a previous favorite in the 10-week series.
Wes and Saara both scored as high as 40/40 for their first skate while James was just behind with 39/40.
However, he pulled it back for his second performance, for which all three received 40 from the console.
2018 – Jake Quickenden
Jake Quickenden et al Vanessa Bauer won the final against Brooke Vincent and Max Evans.
In An action-packed finale, the couple won over fans and judges with a series of stunning performances.
Speaking of victory, Jake, who has appeared on The X Factor and I’m A Celebrity, joked: “I might not have to be on any more reality shows!”
All Stars 2014 – Ray Quinn
Ray Quinn became the first person to win two series’ of the show after participating in the All-stars edition.
Nearly every winner returns to reclaim their title, as are fan favorites including Bonnie Langford, Todd Carty and Gareth Gates.
Replaced by Maria Fillipov, the pair proved unstoppable and even beat all the other winners participating to become the ultimate winner of Dancing on Ice.
2013 – Beth Tweddle
Olympian gymnast Beth Tweddle proved she loves her feet on the ice as well as the practice floor when she won the crown in 2013.
That year’s lineup was the smallest of any series ever – but included favorites like Pamela Anderson, Anthea Turner and Keith Chegwin. Samia Ghadie also met her husband, Sylvain Longchambon, on the ice that year.
However, Beth went home with the gold after beating the boxer Luke Campbell and actor Matt Lapinskas in the final.
2012 – Matthew Wolfenden
Emmerdale star Matthew Wolfenden continued the trend of winning soap stars in 2012.
During the competition, he fought with Corey Feldman, The Heidis Mountains and Jennifer Ellison to keep her position.
Matthew beat the X Factor’s Chico and Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter in the final round.
2011 – Sam Attwater
EastEnders actor Sam Attwater is the next star to become the winner of the 2011 series.
In the final, he fought stiff competition from Chloe Madeley and Laura Hamilton to become the champion.
2010 – Hayley Tamaddon
Coronation Street’s Hayley Tamaddon hit the jackpot with Daniel Whiston as her pro partner – and together they won his second series.
It was the soap’s battle in the finale as she battled the Hollyoaks . stars Gary Lucy and Kieron Richardson in the finale. After that, they also finished second in the All-stars season.

2009 – Ray Quinn
After finding fame on Brookside, actor Ray Quinn proved he’s a celebrity in showbiz – finishing third on The X Factor in 2006.
Adding Dancing On Ice to his CV, he went on to win over Donald MacIntyre and Jessica Taylor of Liberty X.
Other participants that year included Melinda Messenger, Roxanne Pallett and Coleen Nolan.
2008 – Suzanne Shaw
Hear’Say star Suzanne Shaw proved she’s pure and simply magic on the rink in the show’s third series.
Suzanne beat actor Hollyoaks Chris Fountain and actress Zaraah Abrahams to be crowned the winner.
She was paired with skater Matt Evers.
2007 – Kyran Bracken
In the show’s 2007 series, rugby player Kyran Bracken surprised everyone by displaying stunning abilities on the ice.
He beat the likes of Boyzone Stephen Gately, Blue singer Duncan James and star of Steps Lisa Scott-Lee to the top position.
In the final, he came out on top against Duncan and actress Clare Buckfield.
He was paired with American professional Melanie Lambert for the competition.
2006 – Gaynor Faye
Soap actress Gaynor Faye was the first star to take home the crown in 2006.
In the finale, she faced actor and singer Stefan Booth and television veteran Bonnie Langford.
She has collaborated with professional performer Daniel Whiston.
When does Dancing on Ice 2022 start?
Dancing On Ice will return to TV on Sunday (January 16, 2021) at 18:30.
The show will then air weekly on ITV at the same time.
