Why the Eiffel Tower is now HIGHER

THE Eiffel Tower has experienced a growth spurt thanks to the installation of a new antenna.
The iconic landmark now towers even higher over Paris after a new communications antenna was installed, making it six meters taller.
The antenna was added on Tuesday and means the Eiffel Tower is now 330m into the sky.
According to the Associated PressJean-François Martins, president of the Eiffel Tower Company, said scientific advances are an integral part of the tower’s 133-year history.
He said: “It’s a historic moment because the Eiffel Tower is getting taller, which is not so common.
“From the invention of radio at the beginning of the 20th century to the present day, decades upon decades, the Eiffel Tower has been a partner for all radio technology.”
