Wife ‘stunned’ as her husband cheats with vile remarks about her body

A woman was left furious and “stunned” after her husband admitted to cheating on her – and used a vile comment about her body image to justify his actions

Cheating on your partner is almost never okay, but some people caught in the act will try to make their own justifications for why they were unfaithful.

And a woman on Reddit has shared the nasty reason her husband gave for cheating on her multiple times throughout their marriage, telling her he “of course” slept with another woman — because his wife ” fat”.

The wife was “shocked” and “stunned” by her husband’s comments, largely because she was overweight when she met him, married him and had a daughter with him, so her body shouldn’t have surprised him.

She also claimed her husband “spoke to other girls” during their engagement and although they had a brief break after the wedding, they had reconciled before the latest incident.

In her postThe woman, who consistently described herself as “fat,” said: “When I met and married my husband, I was fat. i’m still fat When we got married I was so in love with him, found out when I was pregnant that he was talking to other girls while I was engaged to him.

“I wanted to go but stayed because of our baby. Fast forward three years and he’s had instances where I’ve caught him talking to other women. I left him and we made up.

“It’s been two years since I caught him talking or cheating on anyone. I thought we were past it but then today we had a fight and he said to me ‘Of course I cheated, you’re fat’.

“I was just shocked. When you met me I was fat, asked me to marry you and got me pregnant.

“I would never treat someone that bad just because of their looks. He’s physically no prize, believe me.

The wife also shared that she is now seeking a divorce as she feels her relationship is not “worth” fighting for if her husband has no intention of loving her for who she is.

She added: “I am divorcing him. I should have gone first time but I didn’t want my daughter not to have a father like me. But it’s not worth it. I just don’t understand why. Why date and marry the fat girl just to cheat because she’s fat? It makes no sense.”

Commenters on the Reddit post quickly rallied around the woman, assuring her that her husband’s decision to cheat on her had nothing to do with her body and was instead the result of his own decisions.

One person said: “He didn’t cheat because you’re fat. He cheated because he’s slimy. He blames your weight because it’s one last kick he can give you on the way out, or he wins.”

While another added: “I think he’s just trying to justify his terrible decisions by trying to make it your fault. So he doesn’t have to take responsibility or feel guilty.

“I guess it’s not about you, it was just the most convenient excuse he could think of at the time.”

And a third wrote: “It seems like you’re handling things pretty well. It sure sucks. Hopefully it turns out well.”
