Wildfire breaks out in a field near Woodingdean


A WILD FIRE has broken out in a field near the town.

The fire broke out around 1.30pm near the B2123 Falmer Road between Woodingdean and Falmer.

The road between Bexhill Road and Park Street was closed due to heavy smoke.

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Services arrived at the scene at 1.17pm but the fire was “extinguished on arrival”.
