Wildflower Restaurant Review: “This Irish-themed 17-course tasting menu can’t compete with the best restaurants in town”

The standards of Irish restaurants have improved so dramatically that a bad meal now comes as a shock. I first visited Wildflower almost a month ago and didn’t have a good experience – the food was bad, the service annoying. It turns out that Adrian Martin, the chef and owner of Wildflower, was stuck in an airport. He asked me if I would return for a second visit and try his tasting menu; My second visit was not anonymous.

I see no point in writing extensively about my first visit to Wildflower for the €70 dinner. Instead, I focus on the tasting menu, which is served in the basement on Friday and Saturday nights and costs €100.
