Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars draws 66 complaints from viewers

When Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars, 66 people filed a complaint with the Federal Communications Commission, the US television regulator.
The moment, seen by around 15 million people across the US, drew a range of complaints, but many focused on the fact that children may have witnessed the incident.
TMZwho received the list of complaints, said a viewer from Texas called the incident “devastating,” while another from California said he was “disturbed.”
While there have only been 66 official complaints from US viewers, numerous celebrities have criticized Smith’s reaction to the joke.
Smith has since publicly apologized to Rock for the incident, and the comedian recently commented on it at a stand-up show in Boston. “I’m still processing what happened, so I’ll talk about it at some point,” Rock said. “And it’s going to be serious and it’s going to be funny, but for now I’m going to crack some jokes.”
Rock has denied claims that he and Smith spoke and cleared the air.
