Will there be England vs Germany on TV tonight? Kick-off time, channel and how to watch Nations League game

The final round of Nations League games takes place this week and England’s final game is at home against Germany.

It wasn’t a season either side will look back on with much glee as the side have won just one of their five games so far and the Drei Löwen are doing even worse – not a single win and relegation already assured.

Both Gareth Southgate and Hansi Flick, despite public statements, will feel they have big issues to solve before heading out for the 2022 World Cup in November.

Players from both sides are also hoping to get a chance to prove they can make the difference and perhaps secure a place in Qatar as a result.

Here’s everything you need to know before playing.

When does England play Germany?

England meet Germany at Wembley Stadium on Monday 26 September with kick-off scheduled for 19:45CET.

Where can I watch it?

Three Lions’ UEFA Nations League matches are now broadcast on Channel 4. The game can also be streamed across the All 4 app and desktop platforms on all devices including smart TVs.

What’s new from the team?

England could recall Jordan Henderson after injury but it seems unlikely given the length of time he’s had. Jordan Pickford isn’t in the squad, neither is Kalvin Phillips. However, John Stones could return after his suspension. A decision must also be made in goal, with Aaron Ramsdale likely to follow Nick Pope’s starting XI against Italy. Gareth Southgate has to decide whether to stick with a back three or return to the 4-3-3.

Germany will miss Manuel Neuer and Leon Goretzka again due to Covid. Antonio Rüdiger was booked in the last game and is suspended, while Kai Havertz is hoping to start this time.

Expected Lineups

ENG – Ramsdale, Alexander-Arnold, Stones, Maguire, Shaw, Rice, Ward-Prowse, Bellingham, Foden, Kane, Grealish

GER – Ter Stegen, Hofmann, Sule, Schlotterbeck, Raum, Kimmich, Gündogan, Gnabry, Müller, Sane, Werner

England 6/4

Draw 44/19

Germany 13/6

A somber run that ends in somber style. Germany is nowhere near its best version either and this could be a tough watch. England 1-1 Germany.
