Will Young has opened up about the devastation he feels after having to throw his twin brother Rupert out of his home just a week before he passed away.

Rupert died by suicide in July 2020 at the age of 41 after falling from Westminster Bridge. He suffered from depression, alcohol and painkillers for a long time.

Speaking frankly in a new Channel 4 documentary airing today (Monday, May 9) called Will Young: Loss My Twin Rupert, Will, now 43, told how his brother disappeared How “monster” you are when you drink.

The male singer also revealed the heartbreaking moment when he realized he “couldn’t save” his younger brother.

Just a week before Rupert’s death, the singer reported that his brother was trespassing to remove him from his home.

Will added: “In the end, he’s going to be drinking 24 hours a day. You have this monster that doesn’t move. So the only thing is to throw him out but also be aware that he can be was going to kill himself. I was OK with everything I did to try to help him.”

It was the time after his brother’s death that he admitted to feeling “deeply saddened” after realizing he couldn’t save him.
