Saturday night’s Lotto jackpot winning ticket went on sale at Mayo, it has been revealed.

The lucky player won the full amount of 19.06 million euros, the biggest prize ever offered, after purchasing a quick pick ticket.

The National Lottery said: “One lucky Lotto player in Mayo woke up today as the winner of Ireland’s biggest ever Lotto jackpot after hitting the entire €$ jackpot 19,060,800 in the draw last night.

“West Ireland players have claimed the biggest prize ever seen in the game after matching six numbers on a Quick Pick ticket.”

The winning numbers in Saturday night’s drawing are 02, 09, 16, 30, 37, 40 and the bonus is 23.

The jackpot has been rolling out since June, and Lotto bosses introduced a “must win” mechanism to last night’s game.

If the jackpot is not won, it flows down and is added to the lower prize tiers – but it’s not necessary.

The National Lottery also said more details will be revealed in the coming days.

A National Lottery spokesman said: “Yesterday’s draw was truly monumental in the history of the National Lottery.

“After an incredible seven months, the biggest Lotto jackpot ever seen in gaming history has officially been won.”

They added: “Euro 19.06 million was naturally won as the holder of the winning ticket matched all six numbers, which means that a ‘Will Win’ mechanism is unnecessary.

“If no player matched six numbers in last night’s draw, the entire jackpot pool would instead flow down to the next winning tier.

“We are urging all of our Lotto players in Mayo to carefully check their tickets today as a player now has a ticket of truly life-changing value.”

“Saturday night’s drawing also featured 150 other grand prize winners from around the country.

“A Kilkenny player has become the first Lotto Plus 2 winner of 2022 after winning the top prize of €250,000 while another 149 players matched five numbers and winnings in the main draw. is almost 5.5 million euros.

“Winners of Match Bonus tier 5 and above benefit from a drawdown bonus from the jackpot and all will now go on to claim €36,687 each.”
