Witnesses called for indecent assault on Brighton beach

Police are seeking witnesses after a man ‘committed an indecent act on himself’ on Brighton beach.

The public noticed at around 1.30pm on Saturday 13 August that the man in Blackrock was behaving indecently.

They challenged him and he said his name was “Jamal”. He also said he was 24 years old.

He then ran away from the crime scene towards Palace Pier.

Police have released an image of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident. He is in his mid-20s and wore a white t-shirt, black shorts and a black backpack.
