Witnesses sought theft and vandalism in Bosham, Chichester

Police are asking for tips after thieves stole a Land Rover.

The car’s owner became aware of the theft at North Road, Bosham, near Chichester, when the alarm went off at 10.50pm on Thursday 21 July.

When they challenged the thieves, a hammer was threatened and the property’s front door damaged.

They then fled in a vehicle and a neighbor ran after the vehicle as it left the scene upon hearing the disturbance.

A registration number of AO55 FZZ – a dark green Suzuki Grand Vitara was registered.

Officials have spoken to the lawful registered owner of the AO55 FZZ vehicle and it has been determined that everything is in order.

Therefore, they believe the vehicle involved in the Bosham incident used cloned license plates.

District Commander Chief Inspector Nick Bowman and fellow criminal investigators are keen to locate and apprehend the individuals involved.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information and who sees a vehicle matching the above description in the area or who has relevant CCTV/dashcam footage can report online or call 101 quoting serial number 1692 dated 07/21. call up.
