Wolves vs Newcastle United LIVE: Premier League team news, line-ups and more

Follow live coverage as Wolverhampton Wanderers take on Newcastle United in the Premier League today.

It hasn’t been a great start to the season for the hosts in terms of points accumulated, but Bruno Lage could be pleased with some of their performances, despite conceding a point in three games – and scoring just once. Last week there were intermittent signs of good Link play between Goncalo Guedes, Matheus Nunes and Pedro Neto and all three start today with Raul Jimenez also returning.

Newcastle beat Nottingham Forest on opening day and have since drawn with Brighton and Man City, leaving them as one of five unbeaten teams in the Premier League. A win for them today would put them fourth ahead of Tottenham’s game later. Eddie Howe has brought Sean Longstaff and Chris Wood to his otherwise unchanged team.

We bring you all the action and updates from today’s game on the live blog below:

After a comfortable win over Nottingham Forest on opening day, the Magpies have drawn their last two games, most recently losing a two-goal advantage over Manchester City to a 3-3 draw. However, they came back from a 0-1 deficit to take a 3-1 lead in just 25 minutes, suggesting a tough game could lie ahead for Wolves rearguard.

The winless Wolves need to get their season underway but with just one point from three games so far they could not have picked a worse time to take on undefeated Newcastle side.
