Woman, 40, dies after house fire in Clontarf, North Dublin

A woman in her 40s died in a house fire in Clontarf, north Dublin last night.
The fire started just after 8.45pm at a property in Howth Road, Clontarf, according to the Gardai.
Emergency services were at the scene but the woman was pronounced dead.
The woman’s body has been taken to the mortuary in Whitehall, north Dublin, where a post-mortem is to be carried out.
Gardaí told the Irish Independent: “Gardaí was alerted by the local fire service after a house fire was reported at Howth Road, Clontarf, Dublin 3, just after 8.45pm on Thursday.
“The occupant of the home, a woman in her 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her body has been taken to the mortuary in Whitehall, Dublin, where an autopsy will take place at a later date.”
