A woman has sued the man she called ‘father’ as a child after making the shocking discovery he had murdered her birth father after he found out he was having an affair with her mother.

The horrified daughter – known only as Berrin N. in local media in Ula, in Turkey’s Mugla province – only found out the truth during a family dispute.

The 49-year-old had believed throughout her childhood and adult years that her mother’s husband – known only as Mahir A. – was her real father.

But when her half-sister blurted out about it in a row, she found out that her mother’s lover, Mustafa Uyanik, was her biological father.

She then sued Mahir for “denial of parentage,” and a court-ordered DNA test revealed they were not related.

And she has now filed a paternity suit against her real father, Mustafa.

A paternity suit is a judicial proceeding conducted to formally establish the identity of a child’s father.

She demands that his grave be opened for further DNA testing.

Her mother Fatma A. died a few years ago and never told her daughter the truth.

Berrin was reportedly raised by Mahir as his own daughter until he became suspicious that her mother was having an affair and began following her.

When he caught her red-handed with Mustafa in a field in her village, he is said to have killed the man.

He reportedly tried but failed to kill Fatma as well.

Berrin was then nine years old.

After serving a prison sentence, Mahir was released from prison.

It was only last year that Berrin found out from her older sister that she was not Mahir’s biological daughter.

It’s not clear when her sister discovered Berrin’s true paternity, but she dropped the bombshell during a dispute between the two over Mahir’s estate.

The story was only recently reported by local media.
