Pedigree cats ate their breeder after she collapsed at home

A woman was eaten by her 20 pedigree cats after collapsing at home before police clashed with the horror.

The cat breeder was dead for at least two weeks before she was finally found, half eaten by her beloved giant Maine Coon cats.

Police found her partially eaten body surrounded by cats in Bataysk, Russia.

Her gruesome end was only discovered after an employee contacted police after they were unable to get in touch with her.

Commonly known for their passive nature, Maine Coon cats are known as “gentle giants.”

But when this group of Moggies went without food or water for weeks, they went to extreme lengths to survive.

Some of the healthier cats were then sold on to new owners for around £30.

It is unknown if the new owners were informed of their new pet’s fondness for human flesh.

According to a rescue group believed to have been involved in her rescue, some of the cats were found in an unhealthy condition and they were trying to raise funds to take care of them.

An animal rescue expert caring for some of the surviving cats said: “The cats were left alone for two weeks with no food so what else to eat?

“It’s understandable, isn’t it? They ate what was there.”

This woman is far from the first to meet such a horrible end and become fodder for her own pets.

Just last year, Clara Ines Tobon was found dead by police in Madrid and her cats had reportedly eaten the top half of her body.

Neighbors raised alarms about the smell and the number of flies.

Last year, a pensioner who was believed to have died from coronavirus was also discovered partially eaten by her cats.

Police found the body after neighbors sounded the alarm about the strong odor coming from an apartment in Madrid, Spain.

The woman’s torso was reportedly gnawed away by seven of her pets – five of whom were also found dead.

The dead woman was named as Clara Ines Tobon, 79, from Colombia.

A police officer is said to have described the scene in the Fuencarral neighborhood as his worst experience on the job.

Firefighters broke into the apartment on Monday and found the body during a search in a room.
