A woman has gone viral online after sharing the shocking story of how she ended her 14-year marriage because she believed she’d found her soulmate in someone else.

The couple shared an “electrifying” night, eating, drinking and talking before parting ways.

A month later, without further communication with the man, Amanda Trenfield left her husband – only to be rejected by her soulmate.

Telling her story in The Sydney Morning Herald, Amanda shared how it all began when she was attending a three-day conference in Australia with her husband and was blindfolded over a formal dinner with a man named Jason.

She claims there was an “instant intimacy” and she was blown away at that moment.

The two continued to share wine and she sampled a spoonful of his dessert, later enjoying a glass of wine together in the hotel bar and chatting into the wee hours until the last orders were called.

Amanda, a life coach, recalled how the energy between the two was “kind of charged” and “electric,” and that she knew it was more than just lust or physical attraction.

She said, “We enjoyed a close hug during which I whispered in his ear, ‘It’s not over, I need to see you again.’ He put his hands firmly on my hips and pulled me to him. “Yes,” he replied. That’s all I needed to hear.

“I had never felt anything like this before.

“I know now, without hesitation, without question, without any doubt in my mind, body or heart, that the energy we experienced that night connected our souls.”

Amanda claims the next few days were a blur as she was unable to focus on her job, running the house or looking after her two children as she was distracted by the knowledge that she had just met her soulmate.

But the story takes a dramatic turn when four weeks after dinner, Amanda bravely decides to end their marriage — despite having had no further communication with Jason since that night.

The book’s title had people stunned when they realized she had left her husband only to be rejected by her supposed soulmate.
