A woman was found stabbed to death in her own home after two teachers sounded the alarm to say she had not picked up her children from elementary school.
The 40-year-old victim was found at her home in Bethnal Green, east London, just after 4.05pm yesterday.
No arrests have been made so far and a major crime scene along a nearby road remains cordoned off.
Neighbors said the woman, of Bengali nationality, is a mother to two boys, one in reception and the other in 5th grade, who were not picked up from Bangabandhu Primary School.
Two teachers came over with officers who forced down the door to discover a woman’s body inside their home.
Met Police confirmed the woman died at the scene and that her relatives were assisted by officers.

Cops are treating the death as suspicious and detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command have launched an investigation.
A 67-year-old neighbor said: “I know she was supposed to pick up her children, two boys, from the local school but didn’t come, so they sounded the alarm.
“The two teachers came here with the officers when they smashed through the door.
“She has lived here for 10 years.
“She was a nice woman and we never had any problems.
“I know she had a partner and an ex-partner who sometimes visited her.
“We are totally shocked because something like this doesn’t happen here.”
A father-of-four, who has two children who are classmates of the woman’s children, said: “I saw two teachers at the school knock on the door with no answer.
“They tried to get an answer.

“Later, the officers came with the teachers to break down the door.
“I have a deep sadness in my heart as you hear about what happened.
“My children, who are classmates, worry a lot about their friends.
“They are worried about their boyfriend, what happens to the boy, he has to cry, very, very upset who lost their mother.”
Another neighbor, 44, said he heard a male voice around 2pm saying, “You’re not coming in, you’re not coming in”.

“I don’t know what happened or if it’s even related,” the neighbor continued.
“I heard screams, I heard screams, but that’s normal around here.
“But the next thing I know the door was smashed down by police later that day.
“I don’t know the people who live there. I didn’t even know what happened until I saw the news.”
One woman, 42, said: “My children are older so I don’t really talk to her but I know she has lived with her for a long time.
“I heard the school was concerned after not picking up their children.
“As far as I know, she was a very beautiful woman. Nobody deserves this to happen.”
