A woman got stitches after a party dress she ordered from ASOS didn’t live up to her expectations – instead making her look “like a bouquet”.

TikToker unfazed by ill-fitting white dress

If you’ve ever bought clothes online, chances are you’ve tried on something that ended up not looking like the version shown in the pictures on the website.

That’s exactly what happened to a woman on TikTok who got stitched up after trying on an ASOS black party dress that made her “look like an ostrich”. reports the Daily Star.

Kate Snooks bought a dress that was made up of thin strips of glittery black fabric to create a feathery effect, and while it looked sleek and stylish on the model, she was less than impressed when she tried it on herself.

In her video, Kate first shared a picture of the model on the website wearing the dress, before following several pictures of herself in the garment – as she giggled and grimaced at the fashion blunder.

She captioned the clip: “What I ordered vs what I received. Why do I look like an ostrich?”

Kate posting under the username @katesnooksShe also shared several hashtags in the video’s description, saying the dress was a “clothing fault.”

And one commenter shared her pain, writing below the clip: “Oh no!”

The Mirror has reached out to ASOS for comment.

Meanwhile, Kate isn’t the only person to have suffered a fashion disaster of late, as we reported last month that another woman ordered a top from PrettyLittleThing that left “everything showing” when she put it on.

Ashleigh Simpson, 23, chose the white bralette on the fashion retailer’s website because she thought it would be the perfect addition to her holiday wardrobe, but was stunned when she opened the package and found a top that was much larger than her had expected.

And when she tried it on, the call center worker from Perth, Scotland, was stunned to discover it “didn’t even cover her chest”.

She said: “I ordered the top in my usual size, a size 4, and it was big enough to hang around my waist. It didn’t even cover my chest. Everything was visible!

“The top caught my eye when I was browsing for holiday outfits. I ordered it with a skirt as I thought it would be a nice outfit for the evening. It cost me 15 pounds.

“When my order arrived and I started unpacking it, I thought they sent me the wrong item. I pulled it out of my pocket and tried to figure out how it actually felt on my body.”
