This isn’t the first time an AirTag has been used to track someone, as a model who says she was fitted with a tracking device in a bar and was then followed for several hours has raised safety concerns from other women.

Brooks Nader, a New York-based Sports Illustrated model, shared her bizarre experience on social media after receiving a notification on her iPhone that an unknown AirTag had “been moving with her for a while”.

The notification, which surfaced just after 11 p.m. Wednesday night, informed her that the device’s owner could “see its location.”

After checking her pockets, the 26-year-old found the tracker, which was designed to locate easily misplaced items such as keys, had been slipped into her coat pocket.
