A woman has been reunited with a wedding ring she lost over 60 years ago.
Alan and Monica Le Feuvre, from Jersey in the Channel Islands, married in 1959 and the gold bracelet ‘slipped out of her hand’ the following year.
It was found Tuesday on a cobbled driveway on the grounds of the house where Monica, 88, used to live.
It was engraved with the couple’s initials, which helped the woman who found it to identify its owner.
Monica said she lost the ring shortly after giving birth to her daughter.
“I was very sick after having her, got an infection and friends helped take care of her because there was nothing I could do.
“I lost a lot of weight and so I think that’s how I lost the ring because it must have slipped off.

“I was completely devastated, we were all looking for the ring forever and nothing showed up.”
It was found by a tenant at the house the couple used to live in.
They sub-lease the property after moving to a nearby farm.
“The tenant called and said I found a gold ring.
“Alan went and picked it up, and that’s my ring from about 60 years ago, it’s there.”

It was found on an unbuilt gravel drive when she lost it.
“I was definitely buried. The tenant said she found it right downstairs where she parked her car.
“It’s been missing for so long, I went to buy another ring, and now it’s turned 61 or 62 years later. It’s not going anywhere.
