Woman reveals popular money-saving travel secrets that ‘do not work’

IF you use social media, you will probably see some travel hacks pop up on your feed.
They all claim that traveling has become cheaper or easier – but it is difficult to know which works and which does not.
One woman has claimed to debunk some popular travel tricks saying they can help you get cheaper flights.
Jodi, who uses the Tiktok controller @higirltravels, says the hacks don’t work with the intent to help prevent viewers from wasting their time trying to use them.
She shared a video with the title: “There are ways to find cheap flights but can’t use these ‘hacks'”.
In the video, she shakes her head as a number of ‘hacks’ appear on the screen.
“Tuesday is the cheapest day to book flights. Search for flights incognito. Clear your cookies and search history. Book flights four to six months in advance,” she lists.
In the comments, Jodi said: “Studies and companies have exposed these things. Flight prices change constantly, but not because of these quick hacks.
“But if they work for you, great! Use it.”
The video has been viewed nearly 700,000 times and some viewers were shocked by the fake hacks.
Someone commented: “So you’re telling me I haven’t saved anything all this time!”
Another wrote: “Yes! I see these hacks and have been booking flights for years. If you call them flights are the same price. It’s all about timing.”
However, many viewers disagree with Jodi and claim that hacks have worked for them in the past.
One person wrote: “I did this and it worked. I was offered flights for $500 while in incognito mode. And when not in incognito mode the same flights. is 700 dollars.”
Another way: “An anonymous one is 100% real. I used to work in this field. Cookies are a real thing.”
A third wrote: “I actually did all this to get cheaper flights. I’m sure there are other ways, but Tuesdays are legally cheaper than the others.”
After receiving hundreds of comments from people who disagreed with her, Jodi wrote: “It is impossible to convince people who have had personal experience of these and I have turned to instead respond.
“Look up to these and be happy to fly.”
