If your home is in need of a makeover then get inspired by this very impressive DIY video.

One woman has detailed her incredible kitchen transformation – transforming it from a boring, beige space into a stylish design.

The DIYer posted her makeover on TikTok under the username @kit_home.

In the video you can see how the old kitchen was equipped with brown cabinets and white tiles.

The TikToker is then filmed cleaning the cabinets with sugar soap before taking them down and painting them white. She then uses a hair dryer to speed up the drying process.

In the final scenes, you can see the tiles have been changed from boring white to slick black to complete the new look.

This is what the kitchen looked like before…

…and how it looks now

The TikToker explains that she lives in council housing. If you are also renting from the municipality, you must first obtain permission before attempting any DIY projects.

Some authorities may require you to return the room to its original condition when you move out, but not all will do so.

Social media users were impressed with the finished results and commented on the TikTok video.

“Wow looks so pretty,” said one. A second said: “Really well done. I love it.”

Another commented: “Oh wow beautiful,” while a fourth wrote: “Stunning! Well done.”

And a fifth wrote: “Love it it looks amazing.”

Unfortunately, the TikTok user doesn’t say how much this renovation cost her – but if you’re looking to renovate your home, here’s more budget inspiration.

We’ve reported on how a grandmother turned an “empty” shell of a room into a kitchen for just under £2,000.

Cookie Johnson, 61, a credit checker, had to have a new kitchen fitted from the ground up after moving into her Lancashire home.

Determined to give it a makeover without spending a fortune, she bought an old kitchen for £400 on Facebook Marketplace and modernized it with blue Frenchic paint.

She was also able to cut costs by getting her partner, an electrician and a gas engineer, to handle the more difficult parts of the home improvement project.

And mother-of-two Melissa Preston, from Northampton, spent just £100 on her kitchen makeover.

She used inexpensive paint and self-adhesive vinyl to upgrade her tiles and even made a breakfast bar out of an old closet.

Melissa originally wanted to source vinyl for the countertops to match the floor, but couldn’t find anything that matched her design.

The money saver says it would have cost £6,000 to have the room professionally renovated.
