One woman shares how she snuck into London Fashion Week with just a trash bag.

Ellie Marie Whitby, from Liverpool, came up with a “funny idea” for her YouTube Channel.

London Fashion Week takes place in the capital twice a year, presenting hundreds of designers to a global audience.

Ellie, who previously convinced her mother to dress up as Bigfoot stalking the forests of West Kirby, said she was looking forward to the challenge.

She managed to attend an event after phoning multiple London buildings and hoping a designer would reveal their secret locations.

She told ECHO: “I just try to come up with funny and fun challenges for my content. Something light to make people smile and I thought this would be a funny idea.

“It looked terrible at first, I put my head through a hole and it was horrible. I don’t have any art and craft skills but in the end, I managed to make it look more than half decent.”

Ellie even found an old banana peel on the floor to add to the “trash can look”.

She said: “Initially, London Fashion Week was held in a large event building but for security reasons, all catwalks have been moved to a secret location.

“I spent the day with my friend in a coffee shop phoning every event building in London.

“A lot of designers don’t give us an address because we’re not on the list but one designer slips up.

“We showed up and my friend pretended to be a paparazzi to take pictures of me.”

Ellie claimed she had “joined the queue” and followed the lead of the girl in front of her.

The YouTuber added: “They were running behind schedule. It’s a surreal experience, being opened up and sitting there in a trash bag.

“A woman approached me and asked if we wanted to sit with her in the front row.

“I definitely get some judgmental looks but I feel a bit like a celebrity. It feels strange to be attending such a prestigious event.

“People love videos. My fans say it’s a favorite because it’s so homemade and I tried to get in.

“I’ve always loved making videos and socializing with friends and it’s just evolved.

“But I just do this on a whim, I’ve never been interested in going to London Fashion Week before but now I do.”
