A WOMEN has been “stunned” after making a “once-in-a-lifetime” discovery in a pack of crisps and cheese.
Yarna Davies was astounded when she opened a package of Walkers from Sainsbury’s – and discovered one of the packages had no chips at all.
Yarna, from Cardiff, said she went to the store last Monday to buy snacks.
When she got home, stuffed it in a package and then decided to go find another.
But to her horror, the second package contained no fries.
Hairdresser Yarna says WalesOnline: “I bought them at Sainsbury’s on the way and opened the first pack about three days ago.
“My friend was here and I finished the first pack. I thought ‘ooh, I’m still hungry – I’ll have another one’. I shook the package, and though ‘ooh, that’s funny’.
“And I said to my friend ‘look at this’. Apparently there was no noise or anything when I shook the package.
“My friend said ‘oh my gosh, that’s great – you need to do something’. I thought ‘don’t be silly’.
“But my friend said ‘now to be honest, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime’ thing.
“So I thought ‘yes I’ll share it’.”
Yarna said the Walkers saw her post about her unusual finding and she was pleased with their response.
She said: “They saw it and said they would refund me with the voucher and they apologized.
“They said there was a problem with the machine. She said they had a problem with the delivery driver and there was definitely something wrong with the production line.
“I can’t lie that I was annoyed when I realized [there were no crisps in the packet], but now I just think it’s one of those things. “
Yarna said she will even keep the empty unopened packet as a memento.
“It was really nice to leave it unopened and leave it at that. I think I’ll put it in a drawer and keep it.
“Like I said, it’s a once in a lifetime thing and this will never happen to me again.”
