Wonder Woman actress Lynda Carter’s father, Colby, has died aged 99 – which is more than a year after her husband, Robert, passed away

Wonder Woman actress’ father, Lynda Carter, has passed away at the age of 99, a year after her husband passed away.

The 70-year-old took to her Instagram page to share the heartbreaking news and express her gratitude to the veteran.

She wrote: “My father, Colby Carter, passed away last night at the age of 99. He was an adventurer and loved to travel, and he has my appreciation for this beautiful country. this”.

“As a World War II veteran, he really gives meaning to the term ‘Greatest Generation.’ My father was a solid motivator early in my career, ensuring told me I saved up early so I could move to LA and pursue acting.

“I love seeing him in the audience at my concerts, and I know he’s one of my biggest cheerleaders.”

Lynda concluded the post: “Growing up, it was the most special gift to see him as a loving grandfather to my children. Dad, I will love and miss you forever.”

She also shared some snaps of her father. One of the snaps shows her (as a toddler) being held by Colby.

Another showed her putting her hand on his shoulder as they beamed for the camera at a glamorous event.

The first black-and-white photograph was a photograph of Colby in his younger years on the beach.

Friends and fans took to the comments section to offer their condolences.

Another commented: “ My deepest condolences to you and Lynda’s family. May your father rest in peace, very sorry.”

“I’m so sorry for your loss. May he rest in heaven,” one follower posted.

More than a year after the actress announced that her husband of 37 years, Robert, had passed away.

Lynda, who became a television icon for her portrayal of the superhero Wonder Woman, married Robert in 1984 and they have two children, Jessica and James.

Lynda shared several black and white photos of the couple in their early days together, along with a thank you note as she shares the heartbreak that “the love of my life” is no longer with her.

Writing on Instagram, Lynda shared: “A week ago, my beloved husband Robert A. Altman passed away.

“Robert is the love of my life and he always will be.”
