World of Tanks will be giving you Steam Anniversary gifts ahead of a new charity campaign

world of tanks is celebrating a year on Steam (and cross-play action) and the anniversary gifts are for the player. Wargaming has also announced an upcoming charity live stream.

Starting today and running until May 23rd, players on Steam can participate in the special anniversary giveaway with special in-game activities to mark the first anniversary and receive a free “Lightweight Fighter Pack” DLC featuring the British Tier VI Cromwell B tank. The now available DLC pack has been reduced to free until May 23rd at 1pm Eastern or 7pm CEST. There is also a free Anniversary Gift Pack in the best section via the in-game store.

As for the Anniversary Missions, they also run until the end of the event, where you can play through five missions and complete them for in-game resources and a special event currency called Anniversary Tokens. Use these tokens to get some extra rewards in the Anniversary Shop. This includes garage slots, credits and consumables. Some rewards you can only claim once, others you can keep collecting.

There’s also a brand new charity live stream next week. This coming Friday, May 20 at 12 p.m. Central Time, a streaming charity campaign will begin with a 32-hour fundraiser to raise money for United Service Organizations, also known as The USO. USO is a private organization that provides assistance to U.S. military members and their families with everything from services such as free phone calls and internet access inside and outside of combat zones, care packages, baby showers and supplies for expectant parents, to care packages of toiletries and personal care items and perhaps what it is best known for, entertainment shows for service members and their families.
