World’s Edge is back in Apex Legends, which means we’re dropping Fragment

World’s Edge is back in Apex Legends, and any long-time gamer will know what that means. We fall back in fragment! This point of interest is a popular hotspot for early game drops, meaning a large portion of the match population will end up there as the very first stop.

But why is it like that? Well, for one, it’s massive. Even if a large number of squads drop off there, you’ll likely find a decent amount of loot for you and your friends to pick up and use against other squads. Second, its position near the center of the map makes it a great place to turn when the first or second circle starts to drift away.

If the circle stays above Fragment, you can rest assured that fresh squads will keep pouring in from all directions, so it’s also one of the best places to hang out when you’re feeling some action. It’s a good thing that people who like Hot Drop – intentionally starting out in highly competitive places – are usually hungry for high-intensity games.

Add to that the recent addition of Newcastle. He’s a super defensive Legend capable of fortifying a location quickly, so drop him and his team in the numerous structures scattered around Fragment and you’ll have even more reason to go there. A team of Newcastle, Caustic and Wattson would be hard to come by at any point, let alone while tucked away in one of these large structures.

But don’t take our word for it, several posts on the Apex Legends subreddit are celebrating or dreading the return of Fragment. Additionally, jokes about the sheer deluge of players coming to the region populate some of the most popular posts.
