Coronation Street fans expressed concern over the cast of Sally Dynevor after her return to the hit ITV drama in scenes that aired in the early hours of tonight.

The actor, 58, took a break while she was on Dancing on Ice – although her character Sally Metcalfe was again seen on cobblestones in the latest episode.

It saw her reunited with husband Tim Metcalfe – who is played by Joe Duttine, 51 – with the on-screen pair having appeared together in a scene in their home earlier.

However, some viewers were distracted by what appeared to be a “red spot” on her face, some of whom took to social media to express concern.

One viewer tweeted earlier: “What’s the red spot on Sally’s face?” Another question in a post on the platform: “What did Sally do to her face? It all looks bruised.”

“What’s wrong with Sally’s face? One side is done [sic] Look right? ,” asked one viewer, while another replied: “Notice that too. Really big department. Hope she’s okay in real life. “

One fan speculated that it could have been a sunburn, while others suggested it could be an injury or “burn” she suffered while participating in the ITV skating competition.

This included one viewer who tweeted: “Did Sally fall on the ice?” In response to this, one person said in a later tweet: “I was thinking the same thing. She must be too.”

Mirror has approached Sally Dynevor’s rep for comment on the speculation surrounding her appearance on the latest episode of Coronation Street.

Sally is one of the contestants on the latest series of Dancing on Ice, where she teamed up with professional skater Matt Evers, 46, for the hit show.

Viewers speculated that it could be related to ice injuries

The couple made it through five weeks of the competition before being voted on in week six. She has been skating for two weeks in a row.

The latest series will close over the weekend, with the final episode airing on Sunday night (March 27). Only three celebrities were left in the process.

They are dancer Regan Gascoigne, 26, Pussycat Dolls member Kimberly Wyatt, 40, and former professional dancer Brendan Cole, 45.

Dancing on Ice ends Sunday at 7pm. Dang Quang Street continues on Mondays from 8pm. Also on ITV.
