LUCIE Jones looks unrecognizable after 12 years on The X Factor.
The 30-year-old posted a snap of herself dressed up as her new Wicked character as she prepares to take on the iconic West End role.
She told fans: “I started playing shows as Elphaba on @WickedUK on February 1st. I won’t stop pinching myself. Get your tickets.”
Fans can’t believe the change in her appearance since her X Factor days – even if she’s painted green.
One person said: “You look SO HOT @ luciejones1 My great friend @ TheaterFlashba1 treated me to your latest album and it hasn’t left the car CD player since. Can’t wait to get it see you as Elphie!! Have fun! X.”
Another added: “Oh my word!!!.. I’m still getting over your amazing performance as Jenna back in 2019 and then this! .. You look and will sounds awesome.obvs!!”
Another said: “Lucie you look amazing – all the best in your new role. X.”
Lucie starred in series six of Simon Cowell’s talent show and ran into its fifth week.
She went on to compete in Eurovision in 2017 where she finished in 15th place.
The 30-year-old blamed Brexit for her disappointing performance, where she failed to win a single point from Germany or France.
In an exclusive interview just hours after the results were announced, Lucie said: “I don’t know how Brexit will affect the vote until I’m there. I have noticed a lot of comments about Brexit.
“I mean the Australians were the only ones giving us 12 points out of everyone – now that’s pretty awkward.”
What’s even more frustrating for the former X Factor contestant is that she voted REMOVED.
Speaking upon returning home from Kiev, Lucie said: “I voted to stay in the EU, but hey, there’s not much we can do about that now.
“A lot of people voted to leave and we are a democracy and that is the way of the world. S*** happens. ”
While the singer didn’t realize how feelings about the referendum would affect her score, others feared the worst.
Even so, Lucie said she’s proud of her performance of the ballad Never Give Up On You – especially because she didn’t make it to the end like some previous British contestants.
“You know what, I’m feeling really good,” she explained.
“We didn’t get to the end, which I’m very excited about.
“We have received a positive response from the public and I have received countless messages of support from celebrities.
“It’s great that we have the support from home.
“All the messages were overwhelming.”
