Mary Byrne, a former member of the X Factor, has gone through six challenges in recent years, with the semi-finalist undergoing a major transformation since she competed on the ITV series.

The singer, now 62, finished fifth in the competition’s seventh series in 2010 – when she was affectionately referred to as ‘Tesco Mary’ by fans while she worked for the retailer in Ireland.

It’s been over a decade since she competed with the likes of One Direction on the show, with Mary almost unrecognizable from the woman on our screen.

The artist herself admits that her transformation over the past decade has “shocked” her, having previously revealed that she has lost a significant amount of weight.
