Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase from June 12th, despite the fact that E3 is cancelled

E3 or not E3, video game news season is upon us Microsoft announced that Xbox and bethesda Games Showcase for this June.

Announced on the Xbox Blog, the event kicks off at 18:00 BST/19:00 CEST on June 12th, pretty much exactly the same time if E3 hadn’t died a slow death. “This show will feature amazing titles from Xbox Game Studios, Bethesda and our partners around the world,” the blog post reads. The post then just repeats the same phrase, but points out all the ways you can stream it, including the fact that it will be available in over 30 languages.

Fans looking to be disappointed by the absence Elder Scrolls VI Messages can do this on YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, Facebook or TikTok and Xbox even has a dedicated Twitch account for American Sign Language. TikTok is definitely an interesting addition to the live stream offering and demonstrates the growing success of the app, especially in the gaming space.

This showcase would obviously happen whether E3 happened or not, but it’s clearly just an E3 presentation.

This naturally raises the big question of what is actually being shown at the presentation. Probably the biggest game that has a very high probability of appearing starfield. We haven’t seen gameplay of the damn thing yet, but with a November release date, when else could it be shown but not at E3?

arcane next title redfall is also due out this summer, but again we’ve only seen a movie trailer, so going for a delay is probably a wise choice. Maybe we’ll at least get some gameplay.

And of course there is the new fable play off playground games already unveiled in 2020. Again, it might be out of place to get hopeful, especially in a world where delays are more common than ever. A quick word on that might surface, but we’ll have to wait and see if there’s more than that.
