Yacht crew and dog rescued off Brighton coast

THREE people and a dog have been rescued off Brighton seafront after their yacht collapsed.

Coastguard teams and a crew from Shoreham RNLI were called to the affected 40ft yacht south of Brighton Marina last night.

The lifeboat crew located the vessel and set up a tow before taking her to the safety of the marina.

Shoreham RNLI teams have also been called to a report of a man believed to be trying to enter the sea near Hove, with emergency services conducting a search along the coast.

The man was later found by police near Brunswick Square and taken into their custody.
