Yellowjackets Season 2 adds Elijah Wood as ‘citizen detective’

Showtime announced today that Elijah Wood, known for the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy, “Sin City”, “Come to Daddy” and more, will be joining “Yellowjackets” season 2 as Walter, a “citizen detective” to challenge Misty in the upcoming season. This will be a season-long cameo, suggesting that Walter will be pretty much involved in Misty’s life (which she very much dislikes). Conflict awaits.

(Fun fact: This marks the reunion between Wood and Ricci, who previously worked together on “The Ice Storm,” as well as Wood and Melanie Lynskey, who worked together on “I Don’t.” ‘t Feel At Home in This World Anymore”. ” )

It remains unclear what elements of Misty’s past or present will come under increased scrutiny or whether Walter was involved in that fateful flight, sparking his investigation. However, as we last saw Misty grow up, she spent a considerable amount of time keeping Jessica, the investigator for Taissa, who survived the crash, in her basement. It’s an amazing turn of events because of course, Misty is unreliable, but the first season ends with Jessica seemingly being allowed to leave Misty’s hold and drive away before inhaling the cigarette Misty poisoned. Of course, we don’t know if Jessica is still alive, but the second season will certainly follow those events and who knows what else, because we know how dangerous Misty can be. Walter has cut his job for him, and it’s reasonable to worry for safety in his Season 2.
