Square Enix’s new RPG, Forspoken, is due out in a week, and the developers have since released a sheet detailing it Minimum requirements and recommended requirements for people planning to play the game on PC. And, well, let’s just say they’re pretty weird.
The recommended requirements say you need an RTX 3070 or a 6700 XT to run the game at 1440p and 30 fps, which is a pretty darn high requirement. Most games should hit at least 60fps with a high-end GPU like the 3070, but according to Forspoken’s Ultra requirements, you’ll need an RTX 4080 to run the game at 2160p and 60fps.
I personally have an older 1080Ti and it’s still served me well on most modern game releases, but it looks like it’s about to collapse under the weight of Forspoken’s demands. For folks who might not have a PC powerful enough to handle those specs, the PS5 version is the only other option.
Forspoken is due out on January 24th for PS5 and PC.
