NOBODY wants people snooping around their apps, so one TikToker came up with a clever way to prevent them.
Passwords are always the best way to keep others off your iPhone, but what if you hand your device over to show something and they help themselves?
TikTok star Milad showed his 1.9 million followers how to add a password to any app for extra security.
It’s a tedious process, but it works.
To set it up, you need to start with the Shortcuts app.
From there, press the + Sign in at the top right and name the app you want to back up e.g. B. Photos.
Next, press the Add action Button.
A search bar will appear – search for “Ask for input” and select it from the results.
tap text and select number.
Where Prompt says, type in “Password” and select it Did.
After that, type “If” in the box below and select it from the options that appear.
tap Status and choose is.
Now you need to enter a number that you will use as your passcode, so make a note of it.
Next, look for “Open App” at the bottom and select it from the options.
Tap the apartment Part of the box that appears and select the app you want to add a passcode to.
Finally, click the gear-like button at the top right and select Add to home screenthen Add.
Now it will appear on your home screen.
However, it’s important to note that this only works for the new app icon you just created – so the main app icon on the home screen is still there with no passcode.
You may want to remove the main screen from the home screen.
People can still find the app in the full app list without the passcode, but hopefully that way at least puts them off or slows them down.
