It would mean you dictate texts aloud to the specialists – which would then be sent to friends.

The big change was discovered hidden in the code of the Whatsapp Beta.

This is the trial version of WhatsApp used by app fans who want to test new features first.

tech sniffer dogs XDA developer uncovered references to the feature buried in the app.

The feature is linked to Ray-Ban Stories – smart glasses developed by WhatsApp owner Facebook.

That Ray-Ban Stories Glasses launched last year – designed to film what you see.

The stylish glasses are built by Ray-Ban for Facebookand can upload footage to social media to share with friends.

Thanks to the integrated 5 megapixel cameras, you can take both photos and videos with the glasses.

And three microphones also make it possible to answer phone calls.

Videos are recorded in 1184 x 1184 resolution at 30 frames per second – with a field of view of 105 degrees.

And you can record clips up to 30 seconds long.

You can also take 2592 x 1944 pixel photos if you prefer.

The camera is activated at the push of a button or by voice command “Hey Facebook”.

On-device storage has room for 35 videos and up to 500 photos, but you can offload those to the new Facebook View app in seconds and simply share the device for reuse.

And with the new WhatsApp feature, you could send texts with just one voice command.

Unfortunately, it is not clear when exactly this feature will be launched.

WhatsApp could develop it for weeks, months or even years.

And it’s entirely possible that the feature will be deprecated before launch.
