You: Netflix announces fourth season of hit show

Netflix has confirmed that the fourth season of the hit series You will be set in London.

Fans were shocked on Friday when the streaming service took to Twitter to share a snap of actor Penn Badgley in the British capital.

The curly-haired star is sitting on a black chair with his character’s name, Joe, emblazoned on the back.

On the chair beside him was a stack of books, including Charles Dickens’ Great Expectations and Rhys Montrose’s Good Man in a Cruel World.

The official Netflix Twitter account wrote with the messages: “Joe is back to have a good time in You Season 4!

“But, judging from this reading, it doesn’t seem like Paris will be the next crime scene…”

While the Twitter account for Netflix UK and Ireland wrote: “Watch your back… Joe is in the UK! YOU Season 4 is currently filming in London.”

It’s unclear where in London Penn is filming, but Joe Goldberg has certainly found a new woman to settle in for the fourth season of the horror series.

Fans couldn’t contain their excitement and immediately responded to posts for comment.

“Season 3 has grown crazy to new heights. Can’t wait for season 4,” one person wrote.

Another replied: “I know it! I know he’s coming to London at some point. I actually bought the first book YOU in London. It just seemed right.”

A third wrote: “I want to be on this show so bad!!!!”, while a fourth added: “If this is true, it’s INSANE. What a huge fan! of the program !!”

The third season of You ends with Joe killing his wife Love Quinn, and sees him travel to the French capital Paris in search of Marienne Bellamy.

Marienne is his boss at the library and quickly becomes Joe’s latest obsession, he even kills her ex.

“All I know is, I’ll search the world if need be, I’ll find you,” Joe said at the end of the series three episode 10.

And it looks like he found Marienne in London, as actress Tati Gabrielle was also seen filming scenes in the subtitles this week.
