Young dance group makes BGT judges cry with a touching message

5 Star Boys brought Britain’s Got Talent judges Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon to tears with their dance routine inspired by a touching message.

he dance group – consisting of Beau, Toby, Adam, Joey and Ollie, all aged 10 to 12 – performed a heartfelt number to “You Will Be Found” from the musical Dear Evan Hansen.

Before the performance, the group explained the routine was designed to “spread the word for dancing boys.”

Beau, 12, said: “We try to get boys who dance known because it’s not always easy for us, we get bullied.”

Toby, 11, added: “We just tell ourselves, ‘We know we’re better than them.’

“But guys can dance if they want, it won’t affect anyone and they’re just people who are jealous of you.”

Four of the five boys wore matching blue varsity jackets and the fifth member, Ollie, did the unusual in a striped t-shirt.

During the moving performance, Ollie was gradually absorbed into the group and at the end of the dance was given a jacket to match his fellow dancers.

Dixon, 43, was seen at the end of the routine and Holden, 51, was also brought to tears.

One of the young performers was stunned by the standing ovation the group received and covered his face before crying.

Holden said, “Oh my god you brought me to tears, I thought it was an exceptional piece and I just think you should be enormously proud of yourself because it was beautiful.”

“It was perfect,” said David Walliams. Adding: “You guys are sensational.”

Dixon was also blown away by the performance, saying, “Overall you guys were just amazing and I loved everything about it.”

Simon Cowell shared the jury’s delight, describing the performance as “the best audition we’ve seen all day”.

“Wow, you know there was something about you when you walked out and I know it’s hard what you told us, but I promise you’re standing there now as five strong guys that go to all.” to tell these idiots, ‘You can’t do what we just did,'” he said.

After receiving a unanimous yes from the jury, the boys shared a group hug on stage.

Another young group also wowed the judges with their amusing skit, appearing as Britain’s Got Talent judges and the show’s host duo, Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly.

Manchester Communication Primary Academy reenacted the process of Cowell, 62, selecting the Britain’s Got Talent jury, which Donnelly, 46, described as a “perfect mess”.

During the performance, in which one of the children donned a black wig and fake black chest hair to mimic Cowell, a schoolboy dressed as former Britain’s Got Talent judge Piers Morgan took the stage to Taylor Swift’s I Knew You Were Trouble and was quickly dismissed by young Cowell.

“It was so lifelike. Very original, very funny, just wonderful,” said Walliams.

With Holden saying: “I absolutely loved it, it was hysterical.”

Pointing to the young actor dressed as Cowell, she said, “I mean, look at Simon’s hairy chest.”

To which the student replied, “Well, what can I say, girls like the hairy chest.”

Saturday night’s show also saw judges blown away by Austrian acrobatic group The Freaks, whose performance included a young girl who served as a human skipping rope.

The performance received a standing ovation from both the audience and the jury, and Dixon said: “Well now we know why you’re called the freaks, because that was just out of this world.

“I mean, she was a human skipping rope. I’ve never seen that before.”

Cowell described the troupe’s choreographer as a “genius”.

The ITV talent show returned to screens this year, or for the first time since it was canceled in 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Britain’s Got Talent continues on ITV.
