Your hidden iPhone photos become even more mysterious with the release of iOS 16 update

APPLE’s latest iPhone update will make it even harder for prying eyes to find hidden photos.

The tech giant plans to roll out a number of big changes to iOS later this year.

But there is a development that will interest anyone who has hidden private snaps in their iPhone’s hidden folder.

For those who don’t know, iPhone owners can hide embarrassing or lewd pictures in the main Photo Library section.

Instead, they are placed in a hidden folder at the bottom of the Albums section.

However, that doesn’t stop anyone with access to your phone from going inside.

Now Apple plans to lock it by default.

The same applies to the recently deleted folder as well.

That means only those who know your passcode can see what’s inside.

You can also use Face ID and Touch ID.

The new feature will also appear on iPad and Mac.

It will be part of iOS 16, Apple’s major software update, which is expected to arrive sometime in the fall.

And it’s not the only privacy feature to be revealed, as the company has also been working on new security settings for those in abusive relationships.

Other notable changes for the iPhone include a massive update to the lock screen and the ability to retrieve texts sent via iMessage.
