IF you are tired of typing on your iPhone, you might be surprised to learn that there is a completely different keyboard that is more convenient.
Not only that, it’s supposed to be a lot faster, but it also takes some getting used to.
It is known as the Dvorak keyboard and was introduced natively to iPhone for the first time with the latest iOS 16 update.
The keys are in a completely different position than the traditional QWERTZ that we are used to.
Dvorak was invented back in 1936 by August Dvorak and William Dealey as an ergonomic alternative to QWERTY.
Apparently you need to use 10 fingers to get any real speed improvement, so anyone new to Dvorak might not see a massive jump in typing when using both of their thumbs on the iPhone.
Whether you’re already a Dvorak fan or want to try it for the first time, here are the steps to turn it on with your iPhone.
Just don’t expect to get the hang of it for a while—we’ve all been using QWERTY for ages.
