With just a few words you can create all kinds of jinxes from your mobile phone like “the boy who lived” and his supernatural friends.

For example, fans will remember the spell “Lumos” – the spell in the Harry Potter universe that lights up the end of a witch or wizard’s wand.

It allows characters to see in the dark and was used by Potter himself in “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince”.

You can cast spells back into the muggles world yourself by activating Siri on your iPhone and saying “Lumos” to turn on your device’s flashlight.

Lumos isn’t the only spell that works on the iPhone.

Activating Siri and saying “Nox”, the talisman that extinguishes the wand, will extinguish the torch.

And you can even use “Accio”, the spell used by Potter and the chums to summon an object towards the caster.

After waking up Siri, saying “Accio” followed by the app name will open the selected app.

You can add more Harry Potter spells to your arsenal by digging into your iPhone settings.

To do that, you’ll need to program the spells into Siri using the Shortcuts app.

First, make sure Hey Siri is turned on. Go to Settings > Siri & Search, then turn on “Listen ‘Hey Siri.'”

  • Hello Siri, Lumos Maxima – Add “Set Flashlight” action, set it to “On” and maximize the “Brightness” slider.
  • Hello Siri, Silencio – Add action “Put focus”, set action “On” mode “Do Not Disturb” to “Disabled”.
  • Hello Siri, Sonorus – Add “Set Volume” action, set it to “100%.”

The first Potter novel, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, was published in 1997, and Rowling is today worth £795 million.

That’s in no small part thanks to the phenomenal success of the sequel series, which debuted in 2001.

The film’s stars were reunited earlier this month for an hour-long special, “Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Back to Hogwarts”.

The reunion brought back a lot of memories for the fans as well as the cast.

Viewers also got an insight into some of the behind-the-scenes romance as Emma Watson, who plays Hermione Granger in the film, admitted her teenage love for her co-star Tom Felton, who acted as her enemy Draco Malfoy.

The actress said she was “in love” with Tom when she was young, adding: “I used to come here every day and find his number on the call board, it’s seven, and if his name is on the call board, It was a very interesting day.

“He’s three years older than me and so for him he’s like, you’re like my sister.”
