BAGELS is an all-time favorite breakfast dish for most of us.
There’s nothing better than a warm, fresh bagel with cream cheese and lox filling.
The bad thing about bagels, however, is that they often go stale after just a few days.
A woman named Amalyah Oren, who follows @AkoCreative on TikTok, said she was shocked when she found out. this simple bagels hack This helps keep them fresher for longer.
In her clip, she begins: “As a Jew from the northeast, I thought I knew everything about bagels, but I just learned this wild hack.
“You soak your bagels in water before you bake them.”
She filmed someone grabbing a bagel of everything, and quickly rinsing it under the faucet of the sink.
“Then you put it in the whole oven. You don’t cut it before you bake it,” warns Oren.
She says it’s extremely important that you toast your bagels in the oven, not in a traditional toaster.
“And then I swear you’ll end up with a bagel that tastes like it’s just baked.”
In response to a comment asking about oven temperatures and baking times, she said preheat the oven to 375 and bake the bread for five minutes.
The clip has received more than a million views and hundreds of comments praising Oren’s hacking talent.
“Why don’t they teach us these things in school,” quipped one.
“It was crazy. It really tasted like a fresh bagel,” added a second.
