To do this, go to Settings > General > Software update.

Then you need to open the control center.

You don’t even have to swipe all the way – just drag the screen a tiny bit.

This activates the camera but does not fully open it.

And this process turns off the torch automatically.

As if that wasn’t enough, there is one more iPhone flashlight trick to learn.

Your iPhone borrows a set of Siri commands from the Harry Potter universe.

And one of them turns on the iPhone flashlight.

Fans will remember the Lumos spell – used in the Harry Potter universe to light up the end of a witch’s or wand’s wand.

It allows characters to see in the dark and was used by Potter himself in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

You can take the magic back to the Muggle world yourself by activating Siri on an iPhone and saying “Lumos” to turn on your device’s flashlight.

Lumos isn’t the only magic that works on the iPhone.

If you activate Siri and say “Nox”, the wand erase spell, the torch will turn off.
