You’re Using Your iPhone Incorrectly – A Breakthrough Trick Will Save You So Much Time

APPLE updated millions of iPhones with an ingenious hack to save you time.

You might not even have noticed it – since it was only added a few weeks ago.

It’s part of the new iOS 16 update that introduced many new features in mid-September.

One of the most handy features is the ability to pin tabs in Safari.

If you’re a long-time iPhone user, you might find that you’ve accumulated a long list of Safari tabs.

Because the maximum number of Safari tabs is 500, it can often be difficult to find the exact tab you’re looking for.

However, if you’re running iOS 16 or later, you can pin the most important tabs to the top of your Apple Safari app.

Go into Safari and then look for an open tab that you want to keep an eye on.

Then press on it until a pop-up menu appears.

Now just select Pin Tab by tapping on it.

This will lock the tab at the top of Safari for quick access.

You can pin multiple Safari tabs and unpin them at any time.

Not all iPhones are the same

Unfortunately, Apple can’t support all iPhones forever – so very old iPhone models often lose access to updates.

Sometimes these old iPhones aren’t capable of supporting new features, or not enough people are using them to justify deploying an update.

Now the iPhone 6S, iPhone 7 and 1st generation iPhone SE are being cut off by Apple.

These handsets were compatible with 15.6.1 but will not receive iOS 16.

If you’re using older iPhones, you’re already cut off, so consider upgrading to a newer model right away.

Here is the full list of devices supported by iOS 16:

  • iPhone 14
  • iPhone 14Plus
  • iPhone 14 pro
  • iPhone 14 pro max
  • iPhone 13
  • iPhone 13 mini
  • iPhone 13 pro
  • iPhone 13 Pro max
  • iphone 12
  • iPhone 12 mini
  • iPhone 12 pro
  • iPhone 12 pro max
  • iPhone 11
  • iPhone 11 pro
  • iPhone 11 Pro max
  • iPhone XS
  • iPhone XS Max
  • iPhone XR
  • iPhone X
  • iPhone 8
  • iPhone 8plus
  • iPhone SE (2nd generation or newer)

If you can’t get the latest iOS, you’ll lose access to the latest security fixes.

These are critical patches that close vulnerabilities used by hackers to gain access to your systems.
